Beyond a certain threshold, additional information does not reduce uncertainty: it merely increases cognitive fatigue. You cannot analyze away the inherent ambiguity of the future.
The Power of the Micro-Commitment
The fastest antidote to overthinking is an irreversible micro-action. Send the email. Schedule the meeting. Publish the brief. Make the decision small enough that the risk is negligible, but concrete enough that it creates irreversible forward momentum.
Clarity is not found in contemplation. It is generated through contact with reality.
Confidence does not precede action; it is manufactured by it. Replace exhaustive deliberation with immediate execution.
